Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) measures are aimed at protecting people, animals and plants from diseases, pests or contaminants without hindering trade The measures should be science based and in line with the SPS Agreement that seeks to ensure that such measures do not unjustifiably discriminate Phytosanitary measures include any legislation, regulation or official procedure having the purpose to prevent the introduction and/or spread of quarantine pests Therefore in recognition of the above, this journal provide a platform for researchers, academicians, industry and regulators to widely share their knowledge, ideas, expertise and experience with a wide array of stakeholders across Africa and the globe on issues of sanitary and phytosanitary nature The journal is published in both print and electronic format.
